The Start of It All
Updated: Dec 21, 2020
Well...here goes nothing!
I am the absolute worst at talking about myself but hi guys, I’m Hayley! I wanted to start this blog at the core...myself and the name. I am a 26 (going on 40 if you ask my friends) year-old living in the Princeton area of New Jersey. I am originally born and raised in the city that never sleeps, New York City. Everyone always asked me why I would possibly leave the city, and the simple answer is I am 100% a suburban girl at heart. Yes, I was (am) the girl who dreamt of white fences, a big backyard my kids are running around, and most importantly...space. I am going to keep more of the juicy details of my life for future posts, but I couldn’t leave you without any information on who is behind the keyboard, right?!

La Manuia. I’m sure 99% of you have no idea what the name of this blog even means and I was hoping for that. I am part American Samoan which I take great pride in and am fascinated in the culture; so when I needed a name for this blog I knew I had to include Samoan language into it. Manuia means many things in Samoan, but for this blog and myself, it means success. I’m sure many of you read that and thought of financial success. Success for me is all encompassing. It includes emotional success, financial success, physical success, and so much more.
But of course, success does not come without failure. Failure is how we learn and grow. It is how we become successful people. La Manuia is about the success and the failures in life that lead us to complete happiness. I will not shy away from the raw details. You will see the good, the bad, and DEFINITELY the ugly.
I cannot wait to share them all with you, and again….welcome!
